Tell Me Your Story

Oregon Hauntings Stories and more

The Ghost Lady and her books!

About the Author
Arlene L. (Dringman) Jenkins has a background of seeking different hobbies and interests throughout her life.

Arlene left California and moved to Roseburg, Oregon about 1978. In 1983  she purchased the Longbranch Restaurant and Saloon in Richland, Oregon.  Her personal experiences took place in 1983 and 1984, during the time she lived in Richland.  These encounters were with "Oscar". Arlene's story along with others about "Oscar" appear in her book Oregon Hauntings and the Unexplained, published in March of 2002.

After returning to Roseburg, Oregon, Arlene spent several years in real estate and then retired. After her husband Lynn retired, they moved to Central Oregon. Some time after living near Prineville, Arlene became restless and needed something to do. (Prineville, Oregon as a lot of history and stories to tell.)

She remembered her son Daven wanted her to tell about "Oscar" whenever they were in a gathering of people. Arlene became tired of telling her story so she decided to write it down and then hand it out to whoever would like to read  it.

When her neighbors and friends found out what she was doing, they started sharing their encounters and soon there were enough stories for a book. Some stories had to wait for the next book because they took place in a state other than Oregon.

Arlene's books contains the same subject matter, Ghosts and Hauntings.

Hopefully by writing about these stories it will give others a desire to come forward and not be afraid to share their encounters and experiences. Arlene would like more people to feel comfortable in sharing their stories without fear of being laughed at.  Theses encounters are real. These books were made possible because the people within the pages were brave enough to share their experiences.
